FlexiSaver – How it works

New Zealand Defence Force FlexiSaver Scheme is a section within Mercer FlexiSaver and has been designed to help you invest for your future. It allows you to have more control and flexibility over your investments.

Contributions

It’s easy to deposit money into your FlexiSaver account.

You can make regular or lump sum contributions directly into your FlexiSaver account from your online banking by searching for NZ Defence Force FlexiSaver as a payee and following your bank’s instructions to complete the process. There are no minimum contributions when you make contributions and anyone can pay into your account this way.

You can also set up a recurring payment for regular savings.

If you are a member of the New Zealand Defence Force you can contribute from your pay. There is a minimum contribution of $20 per pay, and you will need to complete the MD221 form available from the HR Toolkit.

WITHDRAWAL

You can request to withdraw your money anytime without penalties. You have the option of regular recurring withdrawals or one-off withdrawals. Simply fill in the Withdrawal Form and your request will be processed within five working days.

If you withdraw the full amount your account may be closed.
