NZDF Savings Schemes have seven investment options to choose from. You can choose to invest in one option, or split your savings between different options.
Whether you’re an aggressive investor with an appetite for risk, prefer to play it safe or are somewhere in between, we’ve got an investment option for you.
The New Zealand Defence Force KiwiSaver Scheme, Defence Force Superannuation Scheme and Mercer FlexiSaver of which the New Zealand Defence Force FlexiSaver Scheme is a section, are managed investment schemes. Mercer (N.Z.) Limited is a climate reporting entity (CRE) and is therefore required to publish annual climate-related disclosures for all registered managed investment schemes for which they act as manager. You can access the latest climate-related disclosures at crd-app.companiesoffice.govt.nz or at the link below:
The seven investment options are:

Cash
Considered a 'very low risk' option. The risk of losing money is minimal, but the expected returns are similar to that of a savings account. This option is suitable if you need access to funds in the short term and preserving your capital is the most important factor.
You can read more about each option in the product disclosure statements, or sign in to your account.

You can change the investment option of your existing account balance and/or your future contributions at any time, and at no cost to you.
If you want to transfer all of your money to the same new investment options (that is, your current account balance and future contributions) you need to submit a change request for both your current account balance and your future contributions.
You can also choose to have your current account balance and your future contributions invested in different options. The choice is yours!
Changing your investments is easy.
