A young saver with big dreams!

Meet Harry, who has been a member of the        NZDF Savings Schemes since he was six months old! Harry is now ten, just like the NZDF Savings Schemes, and is in year six at school. Harry’s favourite subjects are P.E. and Maths.

When Harry is not at school he loves playing football, exploring adventures on Roblox, spending quality time with his friends and enjoying school holiday sleepovers.

Harry dreams big about what he wants to save for in the future. His goals include building a gaming desktop computer setup, owning a camper van and taking an exciting trip to Disneyland.

For Harry, starting to save money at a young age is important because it means he can do “cool stuff” when he’s older. Harry’s story is a great example that you can start your investing journey as youngster. It’s great to hear from Harry about his NZDF KiwiSaver Scheme journey so far!

If you have children and want to jumpstart their investment journey, the New Zealand Defence Force KiwiSaver Scheme and the New Zealand Defence Force FlexiSaver Scheme could be great options. There are no age restrictions, and these schemes are open to all NZDF members (past and present), their family members and veterans.
